Are you looking to enhance your Notion setup by linking to local folders? With just a few straightforward steps, you can easily connect your important files directly into your Notion pages. This guide will help you link a local folder using iCloud ensuring your task management is seamless and efficient.
disclaimer & prerequisites
Before we begin, make sure you have an iCloud account set up with your folder saved in iCloud. If this isn’t available to you, consider uploading your folders to Google Drive or Dropbox instead.

step 1: Locating and Sharing the Folder
Start by locating the desired folder on your computer. Right-click on the folder, and select Share from the context menu.
step 2: Invite with a Link
In the share window, click on Invite with link.
step 3: Get a Link to the Folder
Here, type in your email address and click Copy Link.
step 4: Check If the Folder Icon Changed
You’ll notice a change in the folder icon which indicates that the sharing settings have been altered.
[optional] step 5: How to Get a Link to the Folder Again
If you need to copy the link again, right-click the shared folder, select Manage Shared Folder, and then click Copy Link to obtain the link again.
[optional] step 6: Create a Hyperlink
You can paste this link directly into your Notion page. To maintain a cleaner look, you may want to hyperlink the text.
First, type the text you want to hyperlink. Then highlight the text

Click on Add link option in the toolbox above. Paste the link you copied earlier.
On Notion databases, you can also create a URL property and paste your link within it. This can act as a direct reference for team members or collaborators.
